Fashion Fiesta (B3TR)

Problem

Sustainable purchasing is hard to reward because the behaviour is hard to verify — and easy to fake. Built for the VeBetterDAO X-to-Earn challenge, Fashion Fiesta rewards sustainable-fashion choices with B3TR tokens on VeChainThor, turning good behaviour into value while defending against greenwashing.

How it works

• Smart contracts on VeChainThor automate B3TR distribution against verified actions — fabric detection and receipt analysis — with every action recorded immutably on-chain.
• Anti-greenwashing by design: rewards require standardized proof — a before/after photo, an activity video, or third-party integrations (Apple Health, Garmin, EV apps).
• A social-feed interface lets users share sustainable purchases, inspire others nearby, and search for specific sustainable products.
• A community tab runs challenges (e.g. buying from the most sustainable brand of the month) to keep engagement social.

Key decisions

Verification comes before rewards, so tokens always map to a real, provable action rather than a claim. A familiar social-media UX lowers the barrier to adoption, and partnerships with sustainable brands let users spend earned B3TR on discounts — closing an earn-and-spend loop that gives the token real utility.
